There are many quick ways to lose weight on the market. Everywhere you look there's a new advertisement promising a new and improved weight loss diet or pill. But what is the quickest? And is the quickest the healthiest? The simple answer is no. If you want rapid weight loss you must find the balance between what is healthy and what gives the best results. Diet pills are great and will give fast results, but they are not a long-term solution and may have side effects. On the other hand improving your diet and increasing the amount of exercise you do is healthy but the results will be gradual. The best thing to do is to combine the two.
Before you go out and buy any weight loss products, stop and think of things you can change that will cost you nothing. The first and biggest step is to change your diet. This does not mean cut out the foods you love to eat, simply cut out most of the high fat foods and take out foods you eat. You still need to enjoy what you love, but maybe only eat out once a week or fortnight, that will keep the cravings at bay. Try packing your lunch for work instead of buying food every day. That way you know exactly what you are eating and you can monitor and control you calorie intake.
The next step is to plan out an exercise program. Again this does not have to be a dramatic intense twice a day sprinting program. Even just 3 days a week will give you results. should aim to exercise for 20 minutes continuously at least 3 days a week. If you are unfit, just going for a brisk walk will be enough to raise your heart rate to the fat burning zone. If your fitness levels are higher you will need to jog to get the same effect. Try and find someone to exercise with. Working out with a friend is more fun and they will keep you on track and motivated to continue. The best exercises for weight loss are cardiovascular exercises. Examples of cardio exercises include walking, jogging, swimming and cycling.
Once you have started you healthy diet and exercise program, diet pills can help kick-start you fat loss efforts. They work by chemical reactions in your body that increase the speed at which your body burns energy (your metabolism). They can be an excellent way to get quick results especially when you first start. These initial gains will give further motivation for you to continue with your diet and exercises. They are not a long term answer though. They have side effects which effect each person differently. They should be used for up to two months initially, and by then l get great results and health benefits from your diet and exercise program.
